Passages For Spiritual Reflection

Do you ever find yourself feeling a little out of sync with your life and your Christian belief’s in regards to the way the rest of the world seems to conduct itself? I know I do at times. I start wondering if I’m the one that is a little strange or perhaps over reacting to different things like movies or shows that the kids are watching on TV. I also find myself starting to back down slightly from some of my convictions for fear that I might be criticized or ridiculed for what may appear to be my too puritan or Godly belief’s. Then it hits me like a ton of bricks. This is exactly the way Satan wants me to start thinking. The devil wants me to let my Guard down. I then ask God to forgive me for my moment of weakness and I feel a renewed strength.

My thoughts will turn to the words in Ezechiel 3: 17-19 “Son of man, I have made you watchman of the house of Israel; so hear the word I speak and give them warning from me. When I say to the wicked man, You will surely die, and you do not warn or speak out to dissuade him from his evil ways in order to save his life, that wicked man will die for his sin, and I will hold you accountable for his blood. But if you do warn the wicked man and he does not turn from his wickedness or from his evil ways, he will die for his sin; but you will have saved yourself”

Lets be honest here everyone. The ways of the world are turning more in a direction away From God and sound Christian values minute by minute and we are being subliminally brainwashed into the acceptance of the worldly pleasures of deception.

But I refuse to let my guard down and not fall prey to complacency or passivity in my life, and take seriously; God’s words that ask all of us to lead our families in a path toward Jesus Christ. In this series of articles that I will be sharing with you, are the obvious and the not so obvious ways, in which Satan is attacking our families and our Christian way of life. If I cannot be diligent in this responsibility and not recognize it myself; how can I defend myself against it, or act on it, or how could I warn or dissuade my family away from its corruptible influences? And this a question that we all should be asking of ourselves. It’s time for all Christians to stand up and Lock Satan Out.
