Its one of the worst characteristics we can possibly exhibit as members of the Human Race. Being Arrogant is nothing more than a paganish worship . . . of one’s self; I’m all that, I’m better than everyone else, and I deserve more than others.
It’s derived primarily from the lack of humility and is the most ultimate form of self righteous deceit; false pride. It also may be the biggest lie we can get ourselves to believe in.
Arrogance can be extremely distasteful to put up with if it is combined with the hypocrisy in the ones who claim to be very religious, or preach spiritual lessons to us from their throne of arrogance. And that is what it is; a self proclaimed throne or pedestal they alone have erected to perch themselves upon.
Arrogance is also very disturbing when it reveals itself within the character and personalities of people in positions of high integrity or authority such as public officials, and yes, even Presidents or Leaders of Countries.
Arrogance is not trustworthy as it is beguiling, loaded with narcissism, and totally empty of the humbleness for us to serve God and others.
Arrogance is easy to sneak up on people who come into instant fame, fortune, or notoriety. We the general public, can inflame or promote the arrogance in others by unworthy adorations and praise born out of or own worldly appetites.
But of course, arrogance is intolerable in the eyes of God and we must be cautious that we may not fall prey to its venom. Nor should we condone or encourage that demon in others, by our own misguided support.
